Baseball

I feel I need to expound on my resignation that was posted earlier. Last night at my ballgame a rules question came up that needed to be clarified. Being a passionate baseball person I wanted to make sure that the rules are interpreted correctly no matter who is the benefactor. In the past I have even had rulings reversed that cost my teams outs or runs. When leading children it is important they know the rules....in life or sports. For my actions I got ejected from the game last night. I am sorry for putting an umpire in that positon and I do not fault him for the ejection. I immediatley contacted the Head Umpire and told him we needed to talk. We met right after the game.

This is where things went sideways.

It is apparent to me that someone else needs to be in charge. I feel my integrity and honesty was questioned over and over. This cannot be a good thing for a commissioner. If certain people think I am dishonest then it is time to step down.

For those that want to know about baseball rules you can go to USSSA website and look them up. Their rule book is only 17 pages long. This is due to the fact that for the 10U and up age groups they follow MLB rules per their forward which states this. There are a few exceptions that are noted in the USSSA rules.

I have been involved in baseball for over 30 years. I have umpired everything from TBall-D1 College baseball-MLB Fantasy camps and the Junior Olympics Gold Medal game. I HAD to know rules.

I thought this would be a good thing as commissioner but it has not worked out as such. Therefor I am resigning as commisioner. I want to thank everyone for their support over the last 2 years.
